Andrew Martinez
Andrew Martinez is a Ph.D. candidate at the University of Pennsylvania's Graduate School of Education as well as a Visiting Scholar and Research Associate at the Samuel Dewitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice. He completed an M.S.Ed. in Higher Education at Penn GSE and a B.A. in Sociology from Cornell University. His research focuses on the experiences of first-generation college students, Hispanic-Serving Institutions, and what elite institutions can learn from Minority Serving Institutions in improving a sense of belonging and supporting the achievement of historically underrepresented minorities at their institution.
