Over-Policing of Black and Latinx Youth in Pomona
"A Compassionate City:" Over-Policing of Black and Latinx Youth in Pomona
December 15, 2021 - 5:30 PM ET
This webinar corresponded with the release of the first Year of Justice report and explored the disproportionate number of Black and Latinx youth who are arrested by the Pomona Police Department. We invited Gente Organizada, a local non-profit, and Pomona community members to share their testimony on the advocacy and social justice efforts. This collaboration is a case study and a blueprint for social justice efforts in other cities across the United States.
