Become a Visiting Scholar

At the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice, we welcome those interested in being Visiting Scholars so that we may aid them in their leadership, equity, and justice in higher education-related research. Appointments require the Visiting Scholar to participate in the Proctor Institute's programming and research with concrete deliverables. In return, Visiting Scholars are given access to access to mentoring, professional development, publishing and presentation opportunities, and national exposure for their work. This is a virtual program.

Eligibility Details: 

  •  Must be interested in leadership, equity, and justice in higher education-related oriented research.
  •  Must be able to contribute to the research and programming of the CMSI with concrete deliverables. 

Deliverables might include (but are not limited to): 

  •  Conducting a podcast interview for the Varying Viewpoints podcast series
  •  Authoring a research, policy, or practice brief
  •  Initiating a research project
  •  Participating in a webinar/program
  •  Conceptualizing and/or moderating a webinar/program
  •  Attending professional development workshops
