Thapelo Ncube Whitfield
Thapelo Ncube Whitfield, a native of Pensacola, FL, completed her B.S. in mathematics from the University of West Florida. She continued to the University of Iowa as a GAANN fellow (and eventually an ACT scholar) where she earned her M.A. and PhD in Educational Measurement and Statistics. Her dissertation is titled: Comparison of DIF Methods for the Student Experience in the Research University Survey: A Validity and Methodological Study. Currently, Thapelo serves as the Assistant Director of Assessment at the University of North Georgia, Dahlonega Campus where she helps guide the assessment process for select undergraduate and graduate programs. During her free time, Thapelo enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, and serving as the Vice-President of MathValues, a nonprofit providing free tutoring and mentoring for youth.
