Katherine Castro-Guillen

Katherine Castro-Guillen (she/her/hers) is an Ed.D. student with a concentration in Education, Culture, and Society at the Rutgers Graduate School of Education. Her research interests focus on first-generation students in STEM and higher education. She is also a senior program coordinator for the Rutgers Upward Bound Math-Science program, responsible for overseeing the coordination of services for the Upward Bound Math-Science program, which is a Federal TRiO Program at Rutgers–New Brunswick that serves first-generation scholars on a STEM focused trajectory. She is a two-time graduate of Rutgers University-New Brunswick, with a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Social Work with a specialization in Management and Policy.
