Jane Joann Jones

Jane Joann Jones, is a writing coach and editor who works with minoritized academics that want to write with confidence and clarity. After three years on the tenure-track, she started her business Up In Consulting, an anti-racist, feminist, LGBTQIA-affirming business that provides coaching and editing services for academic writers. She has been working with academics in the humanities and social sciences as an editor, coach, and writing instructor for nine years. Jane earned her Ph.D. in Sociology in 2010 from New York University.

Currently, Jane works with writers through her programs the Art of the Article and Elevate. The Art of the Article is a self-guided program where over 200 students have learned a proven, replicable system for writing an article for peer review. Her flagship offering is an editing and coaching program called Elevate.
