Extend the Reach of Your Research with our Making Scholarship Public Series!

The Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity and Justice will host a series of workshops that will offer best practices on making scholarship more accessible to the general public. Each session will focus on a different method to extend the reach of your research.

Writing Opinion Pieces: This session will offer steps for crafting op-eds for a wider audience.

Turning Your Research Into a Policy/Practice/Research Report: This hands-on session will offer insight into how to turn scholarship into a comprehensive and accessible report that attracts readers beyond an academic audience.  

Engaging Media with your Research: This session will offer strategies to establish relationships with media personnel and will teach participants how to best pitch their research to the press.

Writing Grant Proposals: This interactive session will discuss successful grant-writing strategies, and tools for effectively identifying funding opportunities that align with your goals and research interests.

MSP workshops are free to ALL students, faculty, and staff, and will be held virtually. Registration is required and more information can be found here
