Doug Franklin
Doug Franklin is a Visiting Scholar for the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute for Leadership, Equity, and Justice in the Rutgers Graduate School of Education and the Rutgers Center for Minority Serving Institutions. Doug has eleven years of experience as a researcher and has interests in ethical leadership, teams, diversity, and workplace mistreatment. His scholarly contributions include thirteen presentations at refereed conferences and symposia, and he has most recently published peer-reviewed manuscripts in The Leadership Quarterly and The Journal of the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators.
Doug currently serves as an adjunct professor at The University of St. Thomas in the School of Education and Human Services, in which he teaches quantitative and mixed methods courses. Outside of the classroom, he utilizes his fifteen years of corporate and consulting experience as a business advisor and advocate of entrepreneurs from marginalized communities. He is a proud graduate of Florida A&M University’s School of Business and Industry where he achieved his B.S. in Business Administration. He continued his education by attaining his M.B.A. at The Jones Graduate School of Business at Rice University. Doug was conferred as a Doctor of Ethical Leadership at The University of St. Thomas in May 2020. Doug is a Houston resident and proud father to a teenage son who affectionately calls him “Dr. Dad.”
