Call for Essays/OpEds

Are you interested in submitting an essay for the Samuel DeWitt Proctor Institute?

We have an open call for essay submissions related to the tenets of our mission. We are accepting submissions on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline to submit an essay. To submit an essay, please be sure to review our criteria for submitting and when ready, please reach out with the first draft of your work to begin the process towards publication:

Criteria for Submitting: 

  • 800 words maximum.
  • It should discuss issues related to leadership, equity, and justice. It does not have to be limited to the educational context.
  • Please be sure to also send a headshot and bio with your submission.

We will provide editing support and work with authors to prepare the piece for publication. Please note that all submissions will go through several stages of editing prior to their release.
