Brian Melito

Brian Melito has been engaging in the practices of meditation, yoga, and conscious dance for almost 30 years. His practice of daily meditation began with training in Transcendental Meditation in the 1990’s, after which he went on to study and practice several other forms of meditation. His yoga practice has included Hatha Yoga, Ashtanga Yoga, Vinyasa Yoga, Bikram Yoga, and Kundalini Yoga. His pursuit of conscious dance as a practice has included numerous forms including 5 Rhythms, Soul Motion, Open Floor, Movement Medicine, and Azul.

His early pursuits in spiritual awakening and awareness began decades earlier, primarily through the pursuits of organic gardening, nutrition and natural health. He later incorporated all of these into a private medical practice with an emphasis on a holistic approach to health issues. While this integrative approach to medicine was considered unconventional, he also practiced in a more conventional manner as a faculty member of the Emergency Medicine Residency Training Program at Lehigh Valley- Penn State University.
