Sykeem Lewis

Sykeem J. Lewis is pursuing his Ph.D. in Higher Education at Rutgers University and serves as a Senior Research Associate with the Mellon MSI Humanities Leadership Academy Research Team. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Politics and a Master of Science in Management from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C. With more than 10 years of experience in higher education, his professional background includes academic advising, admissions, advancement, enrollment management, and adjunct teaching. His research examines the racialized experiences of Black students at predominantly White Catholic institutions, with broader scholarly interests in the intersections of race, religion, and sexuality in higher education. Outside of his academic and professional work, he enjoys running, baking, and traveling.
