Kaitlyn Sedevie

A Midwesterner at heart, Kaitlyn Sedevie earned her B.A. in sociology from the University of North Dakota and her M.A. from Ohio University. Currently, she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Higher Education at Rutgers University. Her research focuses on the intersection of sociology and higher education, with particular interest in social movements on college campuses, institutional perpetuation of racial and academic inequalities, and fostering a sense of belonging for minority students at predominantly white institutions (PWIs). It is her goal throughout her time at Rutgers to find ways to create more inclusive college campuses as a way to promote racial equity.
